Alright Genies or whatever you'd like to be called, our webmaster is calling for some action, let's hope that this gets you smoking out of your bottles into the Nelson home ;D Some people would say that season 5 was the best "I Dream of Jeannie" season and had the best Roger, Jeannie and Tony moments. I also know that many people, including myself, consider "The Wedding" to be the best episode of the show. This is a thread to post about your favorite season 5 episodes and moments and if you happen to have pictures link to them. Is that ok, Patterson Lundquist? Just making sure it is before we get into trouble. BTW, Patterson Lundquist, seeing how there is some talk going on on sitcomsonline maybe you should mention your site again  - after all this is a very nice website, layout wise and everything and the URL is easy to remember. Thanks Domi, I've had this domain/site now for nearly a decade and only recently did I get it back up and going. The DVD release helped move me into action. As for picture links, that's fine, as long as you don't hotlink from someones website. The best thing to do is to upload any photos you would like to show to www.imageshack.usIt will give you the code to post the picture here in the forum. Obviously nothing pornographic or indecent is allowed, after all this is I Dream of Jeannie we're talking about here. So feel free as long as it's a photo you either have rights to show, or you have permission from the photographer. If it's an old photo from the 60's and you don't know who took it, just state where you got it from. In regards to the fifth season of I Dream of Jeannie... I personally didn't care much for the fifth season. In my opinion the wedding episode was a disaster. I never liked the idea of Jeannie and Tony getting married. As James Henerson stated, "You marry them, and you have BEWITCHED!" My favorite episodes fell in the third and fourth seasons. I loved the episodes featuring Jeannie's sister. I always loved watching the two of them get at each other. I think "Jeannie or the Tiger" and "Jeannie Go Round" are two of my all time favorite episodes. -Patterson |

Thanks Patterson, I'm glad you decided to put the website back up..maybe, with any luck, and increasing sales of IDoJ DVD sets, we may see more people posting here. As for the pictures, that's understood, I've always used photobucket or imageshack when I needed to link to pictures, as a matter of fact, I've just tested it for a new thread I started. I liked the episodes with Jeannie's sister but I guess I've always been kind of a pro Jeannie-Tony person  thus was happy when they got married, I still think though that the wedding should have been the final episode or just one more after that. For the people that read this thread and loved "The Wedding", what are your thoughts on it, favorite scenes, scenes you hated, what are your thoughts on the kiss? |

The entire wedding sequence was horrible though. The music was irritating and all together the colors and everything were horrible. lol I'm sure I'm just being a big pooper about this but there really was nothing at all that I liked about the wedding episode.

I'm sure I'm just being a big pooper about this but there really was nothing at all that I liked about the wedding episode. Not even the kiss? Not even the kiss. Watch that part, Larry looks at the camera while he's kissing her as they do the slow motion spin. That alone ruined it for me. |

Well, they both have never been very good in the kissing department on IDOJ, maybe it wasn't 'in' back then to do some nice French kisses...it always upset me when they started kissing and then Jeannie turned towards the camera to blink us out or so that was so weird or like when they were kissing and Roger popped up and Jeannie opened her eyes to blink and watch him while they were into the kiss...so yeah I know what you mean..it's not really nice, makes you think they are not really into it as much as the fans would like it  |

Not many kissing scenes stand out for me from the fifth season. Well maybe one and it seemed very natural the way it happened. I believe it was from the Mrs. Djinn Djinn episode. Tony came home, thinking Jeannie was pregnant, gave her flowers hoisted her up and carried her to the sofa kissing her.
It just seemed real and natural. A lot of the sexual tension having been dissolved actualy did wonders for the relationship between them. They were much more relaxed with one another and it was nice to see.
If the writers had been given a chance I am sure that another element could have been created which could have put a support back under the sagging foundation of the entire series which had been obliterated upon the wedding and Dr. Bellows becoming aware of Jeannie.

I know what you mean, P. I tend to prefer the Tony-Jeannie scenes where they just look at each other or hold each other's hands cause Larry's and Barbara's chemistry just shines through...  they work very well with each other but sometimes I have the feeling they don't feel that comfortable doing the kissy scenes, especially those in the first seasons. Now, they are supposed to be not that touchy then but sometimes, however, it looks sweet and natural then it seems that they really don't want to do it and would rather just get over with it...kissing with eyes open, having an 'I feel uncomfortable' expression on their face...latter was my initial impression for "There Goes the Bride" where Tony (Larry) put next to no passion into that kiss and I had the feeling Jeannie (Barbara) felt just as bad after Jeannie had put that love spell on Tony. I like the episode you mentioned P. though.  |

There were two good kissing scenes in season 5. One was at the end of the anniversary episode when they both discover that neither one was able to get the other a gift for their sixth month wedding anniversary. The other was in Never Put a Jeannie on a Budget. Tony kisses Jeannie many times while she is holding a candle due to her having the electricity turned off to save money.
Probably the best kissing scene is from season 4 in Jeannie the Governor's Wife. Other great kissing scenes are the kisses at the end of Where Do You Go Go, My Master the Thief, and Whatever Became of Baby Custer.

I haven't seen season 5 but I agree with major - some really great kisses from season 1. I really liked the second kiss they ever had in the very first episode when Tony is having a go at her and pulls Jeannie to her feet and she starts kissing him. The way he initially protests then starts kissing her back was so cute! Similarly in 'G.I. Jeannie' when she 'tricks' him into kissing her. Or when they kiss in 'The Americanization of Jeannie' and Tony remarks, "You didn't learn *that* from reading any magazine!"

Sometimes I think that, if we only compare season 1 with 2, that season 1 had slightly better episodes than season 2, there were more romantic scenes...I love the kiss in GI Jeannie...Tony sure liked that one ...I should open a new thread... Suzie, the kiss in "Americanization of Jeannie" was hot...there was quite a spark there between them..you could hear it in their voices, especially Tony's. I also like the kiss in the pilot...it's like Tony can't resist...yes, there is magic... |

thus was happy when they got married, I still think though that the wedding should have been the final episode or just one more after that.
