Something I just noticed after watching the pilot episode again recently. Roger is wearing a wedding ring. This is particularly noticeable right at the beginning when he's helping Tony with his space suit and is adjusting the helmet.
Maybe Roger got divorced sometime between the first and second episodes. More likely is that they hadn't yet developed the character of Roger. Still, I just thought it was interesting.
Oh, and with the colourised version, did anyone else think it was odd that when Dr Bellows, General Stone and the others visit Tony at his house that their hats don't match their uniforms? Their uniforms are brown and resemble army outfits while their hats are blue. Maybe they were wearing their 'casual' uniforms or something.

I think it's probably just a matter of Bill Daily forgetting to take his wedding ring off, and him being such an unimportant character in that particular episode they wouldn't care if he had his wedding ring on or not.

The differences in hat colors was not a result of colorization; the difference is apparent even in the original B&W version.

Ah, that's interesting. Having never seen the black and white version I always thought it was a colourisation mistake. Maybe it was some kind of casual uniform but just interesting that after that (as far as I can remember) their hats and uniforms always matched. Oh, and I must take a moment to say how nice I always thought Larry Hagman looked in his uniform!  |

This kinda reminds me of something Larry wrote in his book (I think) about some girls coming up to him and saying that he was so hot on IDOJ or something like that. I nearly fell over when I read that because I had always thought that he was really cute on the show. LOL.  |

I had a crush on Larry when I first watched the show... he was such a cutie and very good-looking! I love his smile and his sparkling eyes.  |

Yeah, I agree I think it was a matter of care-less-ness for Bill Daily to have left his wedding ring on.
