Happy Anniversary - two questions about Blue Djinn

Hi. In the season two episode, 'Happy Anniversary', Jeannie takes Tony back to the island where he first found her so that they can re-enact the moment when they first met. Tony picks up what he thinks is Jeannie's bottle on the beach, opens it and reveals the evil Blue Djinn. The Blue Djinn tells Tony that he has been trapped in his bottle for 1500 years (like Jeannie) and rather than being grateful to Tony for releasing him, he informs him that during the time he was imprisoned, he swore a vow to kill the person who releases him.

My first question is, how did the Blue Djinn get trapped in the bottle in the first place? We know that Jeannie was trapped by the Blue Djinn because she wouldn't marry him and as a punishment he turned her into a genie and put her in her bottle. But who trapped the Blue Djinn? Does he ever explain this?

My second question leads on from my first, and is this. When the Blue Djinn sees Jeannie, he exclaims something like "It is you? Where have you been I've been searching for you everywhere!" What does he mean he's been looking for her? He's the one who sealed Jeannie in her bottle - how could he have not known where she was? Also, if the Blue Djinn has been in his bottle for the last 1500 years, how could he have been looking for her?

Can anyone shed any light on this? Or is it another continuity error?

I don't remember anyone mentioning how the Blue Djinn got trapped in the bottle. But then I haven't seen "Happy Anniversary" for over an year so the details might be escaping my mind.
As for the second one, I believe it's just a continuity error. Maybe who wrote this episode (I don't remember if it was Sidney Sheldon) didn't know the Blue Djinn was the one who locked Jeannie in the bottle, or forgot about this detail. Or, maybe when the Blue Djinn said he was looking for Jeannie he meant he was looking for her bottle?? Those are the possibilities I can see.

The answers to your questions are that it is never explained in the series how the Blue Djinn got to be trapped in his bottle; and a probable continuity error was responsible for the Blue Djinn's weird statement. (An in-universe explanation could be that the Blue Djinn was a bit woozy after just finishing spending 1500 years in his bottle.)

I have read fanfiction though that explains nicely how the Blue Djinn came to be trapped in his bottle. The explanation offered in the fanfiction was taht the Blue Djinn had bottled Jeannie, 2000 years ago, but the ruler of all the djinn, Haji, spent 500 years tracing down where Jeannie was and who bottled her, and eventually found out it was the Blue Djinn. It turns out that bottling a djinni is an offense against Djinn law, and Haji then bottles up the Blue Djinn as his punishment for breaking the law.

Well durring the series Jeannie mentions she got ship-wrecked on the boat and she went from ocean to ocean until she landed on that island.
