OK, you sort of asked for it, here's the thread for it...
What do you think was the best kiss Tony and Jeannie shared in seasons 1-5? And I'm talking real kiss, not that "don't touch me kind of thing they had"... ;D

Can't wait to see the replies for this. I'm not sure whether I'd be eligible to vote for this one as I haven't seen the full series, but I'd like to make three nominations. What makes these special in my opinion is that they are some of the few occasions when Tony initiates the kiss:
'Whatever Happened To Baby Custer' - The kiss at the end - that was far more than a 'kiss and make up' smooch! As I mentioned on a previous thread, there's something very sexually charged about that whole scene.
'Where'd You Go-Go?' - The kiss at the end when Tony reluctantly admits that he was jealous of Jeannie going out with Roger - "I'm only human."
'My Turned-On Master' - I think that's the right episode (and a title which suggests something else in modern vocabulary!), when Jeannie transfers her powers to Tony without telling him and he inadvertantly transfers them to Dr Bellows. Jeannie apologises to Tony for all the trouble she caused and asks him if there's anything she can do to make it up to him. He replies with a suggestive, "I'm sure I can think of something!" and kisses her passionately.

There were so many kissing scenes from season 1 that it is difficult to pick one so I picked a few. The second kiss in the pilot episode, the "kiss and make up" from "Whatever Became of Baby Custer" and the kiss at the end of "Where Do You Go Go". Honorable mention to the kiss at the end of "My Master the Thief."
I do not remember any memorable kisses in season 2-3. The best kiss in season 4 is, of course, "Jeannie, the Governor's Wife." In season 5 the best kiss is the one where Tony kisses Jeannie several times while she holds the candle in "Never Put a Genie on a Budget." Honorable mention goes to the kiss in the bottle while Jeannie and Tony celebrate their six month wedding anniversary.

Are there ANY kisses in season two? Haven't seen any so far. Jeannie and Tony have started being all 'polite' to one another. Come on, give us some lip lockage!
Maybe we should start on the 'Worst Kisses'. In which case I would like to nominate the kiss at the end of 'Bigger Than A Breadbox, Better Than A Genie'. Tony getting trapped in the crystal ball was just stupid and I hated it when Jeannie grabbed and kissed him and then blinked to the camera. Stupid, forced and not at all natural.
On a side note, am I right in thinking that that is the first time that Jeannie and Tony have kissed in front of Roger?

I think you are right that the first time Jeannie and Tony kissed in front of Roger was in "Bigger than a Breadbox, Better Than a Genie". Watch Roger's reaction to the kiss. He closes his eyes, looks away, covers his eyes, and shakes his head. He either thinks it is a silly ending or he is embarrassed by the display of affection. It always bothered me that Jeannie kissed him in front of Roger. I never understood why Jeannie blinked out the tv audience, but allowed Roger to sit there while they continued kissing.

I noticed that too, major...this is not the first time he's looked like that though when Tony and Jeannie kissed...I also noticed that in "The Richest Astronaut in the World" I think it's re their display of affection...
And suzie, yes, there are kisses in season two but the ones I've seen are not exactly worth mentioning, they look fake and forced..nothing like those in season one. I did like the superman episode though and there were no kisses but the way Tony acted when he was jealous was great...I just wish they would not have ruined such a wonderful episode with the ending they did.

Sadly I haven't seen all kisses of them yet.... but I love the one at the end of "Jeannie, the governor's wife". And I agree, there aren't any memorable kisses in season two. I heard that "the" kiss at the wedding was one of the bests they ever shared. And I would love to see that episode. But not only because of the kiss I did like the superman episode though and there were no kisses but the way Tony acted when he was jealous was great...I just wish they would not have ruined such a wonderful episode with the ending they did. I love that episode. And it's really a shame how they did the ending. I wished it would've been more romantic.

Indeed. I have no idea why they thought that getting back at Tony the way Jeannie did would make a good ending...it was so sweet, so romantic how jealous Tony tried to concentrate on work but couldn't...I loved how he came home with the flowers...it's what happened after that that made me so upset...otherwise it could have been one of the best IDOJ episodes... Well, re the wedding kiss I guess Patterson would disagree with us... , I liked it but then again I don't remember it that well since the last time I saw that episode was a couple of years ago or so...I wish they would not show IDOJ on Premiere Nostalgie but put it back on Kabel1 and in the afternoon or evening program so I can finally tape the show.

The episode was indeed very cute. I love it when Tony is jealous. And yes, why did Jeannie react that way she did? That's the thing I don't understand either..... The first time I watched that episode I thought what a cute episode this was..... and it really is. But when I saw the ending I was really angry at them how they behaved. It really could've been one of the best episodes. I don't think that any network is willing to show Jeannie in Germany in the near future. I remember the last time it was on air. Kabel1 promised they would show every episode...... yeah.... we know how it ended. Right after they canceled it, I was writing something in the Kabel1 forum why they took it off the air and if they're planning on showing it to another time...... I didn't get any straight answers..... and I'm still waiting for one :\ I'm not a big fan of Jeannie in German..... but if they put it back on TV I wouldn't mind. It's just the rating wasn't good..... and if you ask me, what do you expect at 6 o'clock in the morning I haven't seen the wedding in years too. And it's the one I always miss when it's on TV....... *ah* so I cannot remember exactly either.

Honorable mention goes to the kiss in the bottle while Jeannie and Tony celebrate their six month wedding anniversary. You mean "An Astronaut In Sheep's Clothing"? Yes that is a very nice kiss with the matching kissy sounds . I like the one in Governor's wife but it's not as good and passionate as the one in "An Astronaut in Sheep's Clothing". Another thing, what would you consider to be the most passionate of their kisses, those that look real and not forced and yes we should mention the worst, fake kisses on the show they shared where you just wish you could cover your eyes until it's over

German TV is stupid, simple as that ...as you said, sinnie, why on earth would they think that airing IDOJ at a time like that would boost their ratings, they should air it in the afternoon or early evening, now that would give them a much better audience, all ages...young and old...

I did like the superman episode though and there were no kisses but the way Tony acted when he was jealous was great...I just wish they would not have ruined such a wonderful episode with the ending they did. I finally got around to watching this episode so now I know what everyone's talking about. I definitely enjoyed this one, one of my favourites so far from season two. And I totally agree with what others have said. It's really sweet when Tony can't concentrate at work and is signing memos with 'I Love You'. There are also some very telling moments, such as when Tony learns of Jeannie's 'engagement' and says, "I always thought that you and I would..." and then he breaks off. But the ending was just a cop out! After all that build up and the wise, slightly-paternal advice that the General gives Tony - words to the effect of "Go get her son!" - and then there's just a real anti-climax when he discovers that Tony Millionnaire wasn't real. Still, he wouldn't let her go to the supermarket alone so it obviously had some effect. Also, there's a lovely moment in one of the 'Girl Who Never Had A Birthday' episodes (I think it's the second one) where Jeannie has something in her eye (or is possibly crying) and Tony is dabbing her eye with a handkerchief. She moves closer to him, gazing into his eyes and it really looks like they're about to kiss and then the doorbell rings or something. And in another one of those two episodes when Roger says to Tony something like, "You want to help Jeannie, don't you?" and Tony says, "Of course I do, I'd do anything in the world for her," and when Tony and Roger are listing Jeannie's characteristics and Tony says. "She's beautiful. I think she's beautiful, don't you?" Classic stuff!

BSDDomi wrote: what would you consider to be the most passionate of their kisses,
The most passionate kiss is the one in "Solid Gold Jeannie". This is where she accidentially blinked herself into the isolation chamber after Tony, Roger, and Wingate finished a mission. She cannot blink herself out because she is now contaminated. In order to hide from Wingate and others, she blinks herself into a gold space suit like the one on a Mission Trophy. She then miniaturizes herself so she stand on the base of the trophy. The purpose is to make Wingate think she is the trophy if gets sight of her again. When they are alone Jeannie pops up to her normal size, throws her arms around Tony and asks if they can risk further contamination. Tony says, "Why not?" as holds her tight and kisses her.
