Hi everyone!
I just registered today, and am so glad to have found a forum for IDOJ! I recently rediscovered IDOJ through Comcast's OnDemand Tubetime programming. I was born in September 1988, so I only remember watching IDOJ reruns on Nick at Nite a long time ago. You could only imagine my happiness finding IDOJ on OnDemand a few weeks ago. I just bought all three seasons currently out on DVD and I am absoloutely loving them! I'm sure these DVDs will get me through my next year of college happily. I think I'll be having IDOJ marathon nights more than once or twice during the semester! I'm almost through disc 2 of season 3 and I hope season 4 and 5 are going to be released on DVD soon, because I haven't seen any of those episodes (I think) and I really, really want to the see the episode where Jeannie and Tony finally get married.
In my opinion, I think season 1 was the best out of the first three seasons because there is so much romance in those episodes and I think that the romance is lessened a bit in season 2. Has anyone noticed the passionate kisses that took place in almost all the episodes in season 1, and then those passionate kisses turned into kisses on the cheek in season 2?
Anyway, I just wanted to say hi to everyone and I'm really looking forward to discussing IDOJ on here!

Welcome!! I'm in university too and IDOJ gets me through many times!! Such a great way to escape. Season 5 is the best season of them all... it will be well worth the wait!
A lot of people on this board feel that way about Season 1 and how they favour it because of the romance. I love Season 1, but for me, even though there is less romance in Seasons 2 and 3, I still favour those ones (maybe for the quicker pace of the episodes?)
Anyway, I look forward to talking with you!!

Thanks for the welcome jeannietonyfan! I'm glad to have IDOJ on hand for the tough times ahead of me in school. There were so many times last semester that I wanted to watch something to get my mind off everything going on and to just make me feel happy/lift my spirits, but I never could because I didn't have anything like that in my DVD collection. I know I'm going to be watching IDOJ a lot next semester! Although, I wish seasons 4 and 5 would just come out already! Yeah, season 2 and 3 had episodes with a quicker pace, and I liked that. There were also some episodes in season 2 and 3 that had some romantic moments and the fact that those moments were rare for that season made it even better when we saw them, like the ending of "Tony's Wife" and "Always on Sunday". Those two, among many others, always make me smile. I look forward to talking with you as well!

I completely agree that the romantic moments were even more special in Season 2 and 3 because they were more of a rarity. It makes you cherish and appreciate them more. I rewind the romantic moments a lot on my DVD's... they're just so special.
I'm glad to hear that you'll have the IDOJ DVD's to get you through next semester... even watching one episode is such a nice break from the hectic-ness of school!
