Hello ! I'm a newbie here, just registered a few days ago. I very much enjoyed Larry in Jeannie and Dallas and other shows he appeared in. I was born in October '62, so mainly watched the re-runs of Jeannie in the 70's. I may have watched it when it originally aired in later years, but I just don't remember, was pretty little. I have the 3 DVD sets available and started watching them last night. I've seen the first 3 eppy's and it's like seeing them for the first time, been so long. I watched Dallas when it was on in '78-'91, and have watched the DVD's that are out so far. That was more recent for me, remembered many storylines, but still pretty much like the first time when it came to the details. It's a kick seeing Larry at age 33 doing all these physical athletic moves, running, jumping, climbing, etc. He's like a big kid ! Certainly a big change from the drama to the comedy.

Welcome to you!! Hope you enjoy the board! Larry is possibly my favourite cast member of IDOJ. I just love him!

I think Larry's acting gets more seasoned, too. I notice in the early eppy's that he's very quick and alert, and it really shows. That's all well and good, but I see him being more relaxed in some clips I've seen of later shows online, and that's the mark of a more seasoned actor. This cast and crew and show was all new of course, and then one seems to settle into it like we all do with things. I can see some of the same acting mannerisms in Jeannie that he uses as J.R. in Dallas, same trademark acting techniques.

Hello I also made the post as "guest-Desiree" yesterday. I wasn't logged in, forgot to, so that's what posted. In addition to what I said there, a friend recommended I try watching a Jeannie eppy back to back with a Dallas eppy, and said it's a real trip ! I'll have to try that. Regards, Desiree
