Does anyone know where I can get a copy of the tv reunion specials:
I Dream of Jeannie 15 Years Later I Still Dream of Jeannie
I have always loved the show, and I remember LOVING these specials! Any hope of ever seeing them again?
Thanks, Jennifer

Hi there! I just joined the board. The last time I checked, someone had posted I Still Dream of Jeannie over at youtube in its entirety... I think it was still on yesterday if memory serves me. Hope this helps!

Thanks - I was able to take a look at that on YouTube.
I still wish I could get my own copy of both of them. {sigh}

Yeah, YouTube is the only place to find *I Still Dream of Jeannie*. I have been a fan forever, and have them bothon VHS, but I have watched them so many times they are in terrible shape. I like *15 Years Later* much better than *Still Dream of Jeannie*. The Master/Jeannie story is the aspect of the show I enjoy the most, and that was missing from *Still DOJ*. Maybe some day they'll come out with them on DVD. That'd be nice.

I agree about I Dream of Jeannie - 15 Years Later being much[/b] better than I Still Dream of Jeannie... for one thing IDOJ - 15 Years Later had Hayden Rorke as Dr. Bellows. And for another thing its plot was better too. I too wish that they would put IDOJ - 15 Years Later on DVD... that would be so cool. As far as I Still Dream of Jeannie, as I said in another thread, I watched it once and was glad I did (I wouldn't be a true IDOJ fan if I didn't watch it at least once!), but I have no aspiration to watch it again - so if they don't put it on DVD, that's fine with me... besides, it's on YouTube these days, or so I hear, so what's the point?

I haven't seen "I Dream of Jeannie: 15 Years Later"... "tears". I would like to see it, but for me what made the show was the chemistry that Barbara, Larry, Bill, and Hayden had together, and if there's no Larry there's no way it can be the same. Larry was really important to the show in my opinion, and without him, and with Wayne Rogers in the role, I think I'd feel very sad watching it. But it's nice to know that people like it more than "I Still Dream of Jeannie".

Oh, I agree, jeannietonyfan. Even I Dream of Jeannie - 15 Years Later was, in my opinion, not as good as the original I Dream of Jeannie series. The Larry Hagman/Barbara Eden/Bill Daily/Hayden Rorke foursome dynamic in the original series was classic and irreplaceable. Take away Larry (i.e. in I Dream of Jeannie - 15 Years Later) and you take away a big chunk of what made IDOJ shine. Take away Larry and Hayden (i.e. in I Still Dream of Jeannie), and you're so bad off you're effectively defacing the IDOJ name. (OK, that wording might be a bit strong, but still, you get my point. )

Thanks Patterson for putting it in one sentence. I feel the exact same way about the 1991 movie. It should never have been allowed to be made.
I guess I should revise my statement though to be 'Take away Larry and Hayden (i.e. in I Still Dream of Jeannie), add a team of crappy writers, and you're so bad off you're effectively defacing the IDOJ name.' That seems to be more accurate. Larry's (and Hayden's) absence was keenly missed but it was really the bad writing that put the nail in the coffin for ISDoJ.

it was really the bad writing that put the nail in the coffin for ISDoJ. Or you could have said "put the cork in the bottle."

Hehe - yeah, that's a better way of putting it. By the by - I didn't like the IDOJ - 15 Years Later ending much, either. I thought the endings of both reunion movies were, equally bad, more or less. I suggest reading a IDOJ - 15 Years Later 'sequel' fanfiction to get your spirits back up.

I have yet to see IDoJ - 15YL because I was 2 when it came out, but I remember having my grandmother tape ISDoJ and I watched that movie constantly! I remember thinking the son was cute, and I look back and omg so not my taste at ALL! LOL! But then again, it's early 90's fashion/looks *shrugs* But I went to YOUtube and searched for "I Still Dream of Jeannie" and the person who posted it, put it up in 12 parts. The film quality isn't the best but hey at least it's there. I made a public playlist and It's at this URL in order: www.youtube.com/view_play_list?p=5291BAE9379327E3

On youtube I watched "I still dream of jeannie" and it was good on a scale from one to ten I give it a seven. I really think that they could have edited the story plot-line a bit more.
