Hi Guys, I must say that I was very happy with the season 1 DVD set that I bought. The extra features are great, and the colouring is extremely good. Though I still do have a few hang ups about it It always seems to me (with the Bewitched DVDs as well) that Sony get people who have never even seen the show to design there products. Mostly the season 1 box sets design is nice, though there are alot of photos from later seasons being used. Disk 3 has Roger on it, which is a badly doctored photo of Tony's body with Rodgers head! But my biggest complaint is with the season 2 box set. I don't know what your versions are like, but the one I have is shocking. It is clear that no research went into it's design at all! 1. The covers states the show to be in colour, which is idiotic since season 2 was always in colour and has never been colourized. 2. The 'box set' is nothing more than a thin dvd case with 4 discs squashed in. 3. They refer to Tony as Caption, when he is now Major. 4. The discs are blank, and have no photos or enjoyable artwork. 5. This one is quite funny really, the episode descriptions are complete nonsense. They make such mistakes as calling Gopher Junction in the wild west episode Gopher Gultch; saying Jeannie made Tony crash on the island again because she was unhappy they were not married; saying the reason Jeannie gave Tony 3 million dollars in his bank account was because she discovered who much he makes, saying Tony's favourite performer was Sammy Davis Jnr instead of General Peterson's. I could list more but I don't wanna be here all night Anyway, I'm just very disappointed that Sony constantly release such garbage before at least proofing it with some one who knows the shows! And the lack of extra features was sad But I do have a question, does anyone know they actual sequential order the season 2 episodes are supposed to be in? Because I know Screen Gems screwed up big time with the original airing order, but what I can't understand is why no one bothered to fix it later on! It is quite obvious that several episodes are quite clearly in the wrong order in season 2. I know for a fact that "Fastest Gun in the East is actually the season opener, followed by "Jeannie Breaks the Bank", because it still has the old season 1 set. I also know that "My Master, the Rich Tycoon" and My Master, the rain Maker are in the wrong order and should be swapped; and "My Master the Pirate" and "My Master, the Author" should go before "How to be a Genie in Ten Easy Lessons". If some one knows the actual intended sequential order I would really appreciate it if you could post it here. Because watching them out of sequence makes it confusing. Thanks Guys

OOOOoooooooh...
I just want to say that I thank Sony because IDOJ is unknown in France and it's courageous to release it (for my happyness). I hope they will release all the seasons...

So you became an IDOJ fan because you bought the IDOJ DVDs? That's terrific! Everyone - this is why DVDs are good. Even with all their flaws, they do continue to promote and help IDOJ live on! P.S. - I too want Sony to release all of the seasons and I am now anxiously awaiting Seasons 4 and 5 on DVD!

I can't wait to have Seasons 4 and 5 out so I'll own the whole series on DVD. And I also agree about what you said earlier about "Season 4 withdrawal"... after hearing you say that, I too have found my memory of Season 4 a bit... well, let's just say I would like to watch through Season 4 again Hope they release Season 4 by the summer and Season 5 by the holidays! That would be great.

Yeah my memory of Season 4 is a bit foggy too, even Season 3 when I got it I forgot how many great moments there are... can't wait to rediscover Season 4! LoL yup! Same here. I think Season 4 often turns out to be the 'forgotten season'... after all not much changes in Season 4. As opposed to the other seasons: Season 1 - First season of IDOJ, also the only B&W season Season 2 - First color season of IDOJ, plots start getting wackier Season 3 - Transition to slapstick and wackiness now complete, and Jeannie II is introduced Season 5 - Last season of IDOJ, also the season where Tony and Jeannie get married, and Dr. Bellows finds out about Jeannie being a genie (but wait, he doesn't!) See what I mean? Seasons 1, 2, 3, & 5 all had IDOJ 'firsts' so to speak, Season 4 didn't really have any of that. Hence why I think people tend to 'forget' about it... (Yes, I'm guilty of the same 'crime' too!)

Yeah, that's very true. The only new thing was the introduction of Djinn-Djinn, and many people don't like him, so maybe that's why it's forgotten... and I'm guilty of the crime too!

Oh - that's right, Djinn-Djinn was introduced in Season 4, but - well, gee, I honestly forgot about that when I made my list above. Gosh, I'm embarrassed that I could forget a thing like that. But - goes a long way of showing how important Djinn-Djinn was to the show...

I think Djinn-Djinn is when the show took slapstick too far...

OHG, I LOVE Djinn-Djinn! Good heavens, I had a dog named after him! I think his eps are hilarious! I love how Tony gets mad about the dog and is yelling at Jeannie about she could have had any other kind of pet she wanted. Not to mention that dog was so stinkin' cute, and Jeannie loved him so much.
I also like the second ep the puppy is in and the look on Tony's face when he realizes what the floating bow from the package is, and all he says is, "Djinn-Djinn!" His reaction is PRICELESS!! LOL

I also noticed some mistakes from season 4.
Like in the episode "Abdullah" it says that the baby is sick with a cold. But he really has the Persian Flu.
Or in "Jeannie the Guru" it says that Suzie sees her pop in and out. But she really just thinks that Jeannie is a hippie too.
I could list more...But it will take too long lol
