Hi. I was wondering if anyone knows if they plan on releasing season 3, 4 and 5 on DVD. As far as I know only the first 2 seasons are out on DVD. Also, does anyone know if I can download the other seasons anywhere on the internet? Thanks a lot,

Hi Carol, I'm about to post an announcement in the news section of the forum regarding this subject.

Yes, there will be a season 3 on DVD. I'm currently working with Sony Pictures Home Entertainment on the packaging for the boxed set. Unlike seasons one and two, season three will be MUCH better looking. I'm also writing the episode list and descriptions for Sony. So you can rest assured that there will not only be a Season 3, but it will be geared much more to the fans liking.

Patterson, that is wonderful news..thanks so much for letting us know..is this official yet and are we allowed to announce this on other boards so fans can start celebrating or should we wait for your official statement? And if you talk to Sony, please ask them to work on some nice extras for future releases...what I would like to see is a tribute to some of the dead actors from the show say Hayden Rorke, Emmaline Henry...definitely bloopers if there are some or older Jeannie interviews...do you know if and when they will make those DVDs available to Europe. we're still waiting for S2 to be released here.

The only question I have an answer two is the extra features.

Sadly there will be no extra features at all on the Season 3 Set. Other than that I don't know much else besides what I've contributed. I'll keep you up to date as I am allowed.

Thanks Patterson. It's sad indeed that there are once again no extras...then again I'm just glad that Sony is going to release season 3 after all, maybe they can come up with some extras for seasons 4-5..thanks for keeping us posted.

That's too bad. Another dvd set without any extras. I was really looking forward to it. Would love to see them bloopers. But I'm just glad that they're going to release the 3 season..... I was afraid that they won't.

Yes, I know from talking to other IDOJ fans that they would love to have bloopers on a future IDOJ DVD release...
A recent poll on another site gave us this result:

I also know that we would love to see some of the stuff Larry has on his home movies on the DVD, I heard they still exist and he'll be bringing them with him to that Texas event..then again I don't know if he'd want to give them to Sony to put on DVD...but it would be wonderful if Sony could put some nice extras on S4 and S5.

Not on his DVDs, sinnie. I don't know that much about it but I heard that back in the IDOJ days he used to film and has kept these home videos over the years...so that'd be more like "behind the scenes" stuff that would be so nice to have on DVDs on the other hand I would understand why Larry might hesitate to make them available to the public.

Seasons 1-4 are now all out and hopefully season 5 will be soon!
