So well all love IDOJ and can probably find things we like in every episode, but everyone must have some episodes that they watch less than the others, or don't like as much. So what are your 10 least favourite (if you can come up with that many... hee hee).
Here's mine...
Fastest Gun in the East... I don't know, maybe it's because I'm not a Western fan, but this episode just doesn't do it for me. Although the scene where Jeannie is watching Tony's fight and she's eating popcorn is very cute!
Fly Me to the Moon... Well of all the episodes of Season 3 this was a pretty silly one to premiere with in my opinion... I didn't like Larry Storch as Sam the monkey, and I just found the pace of it to be slow...
Here Comes Bootsie Nightingale... Why did the woman who played Bootsie Nightingale have more screen time than our beloved regulars in this episode? I missed the gang in this one, and didn't like the plot, except for Jeannie changing Tony's voice... that made the episode worth watching.
Jeannie Goes to Honolulu... Maybe the cast just should have gone to Hawaii and not film any episodes.. you can tell they had to re-dub some of the outdoor scenes because the sound is weird in some parts in this episode. Poor Barbara can't wear a two-piece but Emmaline Henry can show her naval, along with all the other women on the beach? So ridiculous. And I like Don Ho, but did we really have to have a "music video" inserted into the episode?
Jeannie, My Guru... To tell you the truth I don't really remember this episode but I do know I wasn't crazy about it.
The Used Car Salesman... This episode just makes Jeannie looks dumber than she actually is... in a Media Studies class, we watched this episode of IDOJ of all of them and everyone got the completely wrong idea about the show... it made me so upset... that's probably why I like it even less.
Jeannie and the Secret Weapon... I didn't like this one... although I did like it the first time I watched it but from then on it was downhill... I guess I'm not fond of the father who wants AGNES to get rich and take advantage of his poor son... I think I like any episodes that don't really concentrate on the main characters... I need Tony, Jeannie, Rog, and Dr. Bellows at the forefront to enjoy each episode to its fullest!
Uncles a Go-Go... This episode was supposed to get viewers to tune into the wedding the next week? And why in the world are Jeannie's uncles British??
Never Put a Genie on a Budget... Why is there no laugh track in this one? I didn't think it made such a big difference, but it does... it seems so quiet and less funny without it. And to think that this is Sidney's last script for the show is kind of sad... so different from the cute Season 2 scripts...
One Jeannie Beats 4 of a Kind... Why? Astronauts playing poker? I don't understand... who came up with this plot idea? It's these kinds of episodes from Season 5 that make me wish there could have been a Season 6 for the writers to redeem themselves...

In no particular order:
Never Put a Genie on a Budget (Season 5) - Same reasons as jeannietonyfan
How to Be a Genie in Ten Easy Lessons (Season 2) - Seems to bring out the worst in Tony. Not very funny either.
You Can't Arrest Me... (Season 2) - We watch IDOJ to escape from real life. Cut down on the screen time for the arrogant, unpleasant cop! The cop being a pr!ck got real old real fast. Although the court scene was funny and made up partially for the others...
There Goes the Best Genie I Ever Had (Season 2) - Characters totally out of character, episode not really funny, need I go on?
Richest Astronaut in the Whole Wide World (Season 1) - I dunno, unlike some people, I did not find this episode very funny at all.
Jeannie and the Kidnap Caper (Season 1) - Borderline, I guess, but I guess the deciding factor was the "Tough luck, Charlie!" line... eww....
All I can think of atm...

I almost put this one on my list... I hate that cop!
The only reason I didn't put this on my list is because we get to see how much Tony already loves Jeannie, even though Roger acts like a complete jerk in this one.
hee hee... I actually like that one. Although I agree with you about the "Tough luck, Charlie" line... but I can understand why you said it was borderline for you and I can understand why you would put it on your list.

I almost put this one on my list... I hate that cop! I know! So did I. The only reason I didn't put this on my list is because we get to see how much Tony already loves Jeannie, even though Roger acts like a complete jerk in this one. You do have a point there. I had it on my list partially because of Roger's behavior in this episode and partially because I just didn't find the episode very funny (i.e. enjoyable to watch). For example, I loved part of There Goes the Best Genie I Ever Had because we again, for a moment, get to see how Tony really feels about Jeannie, but I still did not like the episode as a whole, since it just wasn't funny and the characters were 'off'. Well, I wouldn't have, but you wanted 10! It was the only remaining episode I could think of...

LoL that's fine, it's cool. By the by, I'm adding Second Greatest Con Artist in the World (Season 3) to my list above; I just re-watched this episode and realized it was; A) against continuity (Jeannie's photographed and seen in the paper); B) not funny; C) seemed to indicate Jeannie was really stupid/foolish/gullible. Really really stupid. Tony was stupid too: having Jeannie learn a lesson by letting the two-bit crook/con artist keep a very historical, worth-at-least $500,000 USD scarab? He could find an example that has less direct impact on the rest of the world...

He could find an example that has less direct impact on the rest of the world... Yeah, almost put this one on my list too. Milton Berle wasn't funny in this episode, the plot was silly, and it did make Jeannie look stupid and gullible. The only perk in this one is seeing director Hal Cooper (though Claudio Guzman directed this one) in the part of the chauffeur... he's not all that funny, but it's nice to see him... apparently it's one of his favourite episodes. And Barbara looks lovely in this episode... did you catch the continuity error in her hair? In the location shots her hair looks a lot longer than in the scene where she is talking with Tony when she's been swindled... they must have filmed the interiors back in the studios. I don't really like any of the episodes in Hawaii... even the one with Michael Ansara as King Kamehamea (I have no idea how to spell that) isn't all that great. I find him to be a very wooden actor, no personality... didn't like him at all as Biff Jellico in "My Sister the Homewrecker"... he's just so boring, and surprisingly has no chemistry with Barbara on screen. In the scenes where Barbara, Larry and Ansara share the screen, the chemistry with Barbara and Larry shouts out at you, and with Barbara and Ansara I find it to be quite dull. Anyway, completely off topic, but had to get it off my chest...

Agreed! For example, the opening scene (i.e. the pre-credits first scene) to this episode was one of the worst opening scenes of any of the episodes. But I can see why it's one of his favorite episodes, since it was one of the few Jeannie episodes he personally got to appear in. Surprisingly, I didn't really notice that factor that much. She does look lovely in this episode, though. I've got to agree with you there. I don't think any of the Hawaii episodes were that good, honestly. And I don't think anyone really likes any of the Hawaii episodes that much.

No, I don't think so either. I think with a show like Jeannie they need to stay in the studio most of time (for special effects and the like) and so I think the episodes lose something when they're on location.

That and there weren't really that many good plotlines that they could do in Hawaii that they couldn't do in Cocoa Beach or Florida. I mean, for example, Florida has (good) beaches too, doesn't it? I never got why they had to go to Hawaii to make a few episodes...

The real Hawaii setting did not add anything to IDOJ that they could not have replicated in the studio. They had some plotlines filmed in Hawaii that had Hawaiian twists but they didn't have to film those on location... they could easily have staged it in a studio. Just like when Roger is shown in the Alaskan wilderness in the four-part episode starting with The Girl Who Never Had a Birthday, I highly doubt they had Bill Daily physically in Alaska. Similarly it shouldn't be that hard to create a Hawaiian-like setting in the studio... that would have been less complicated, probably cheaper, and would have allowed much better special effects...
