The show would not have been canceled if they had done a cliff-hanger on the last episode in season 5 like Jeannie finding out she is pregnant, or something. Than people would want to know what happens in season 6.

Hey all, I am trying to find one episode. all i remember from this episode is the ending where maj. nelson asks jeannie what he would be like if the past was different and jeannie turns him into a brittish version of himself.....does anyone know what episode this is?

I love Season 5. Yes, the dynamic is different, but it has to be. Jeannie is known to Dr. and Mrs. Bellows so that whole element of the show is gone. The tension is gone in a lot of ways, and that changes the dynamic just because. What people forget, I think, is that the dynamic is going to be different. It has to be. It can't be the same as the first four seasons. Are they same Tony and Jeannie? No they're not. But I like the way it was. The magic elements were a bit toned down, but I think they had to be because of the above. What else could the show have done but marry them? You can only have the whole sexual tension/will they won't they thing go on for so long. IMO, by mid Season 4 Larry and Barbara seemed to be playing it differently, like T&J were already together or moving that way. So it was only natural. This is the nature of the beast with shows like this, unfortunately.
I think a Season 6 pregnancy and a baby genie/djinn would have been exactly what the show needed. It would have been just like when Tony hid Jeannie, only it would be Tony, Jeannie and Roger hiding the baby. I envision pregnancy hilarities too, with the human and genie genes mixing in a way that made Jeannie's powers run am-mock.
