Songs you hear that remind you of the characters

I am a huge fan of music and I am always listening to the radio and I realized that there are some songs out there that make me think of the characters. Here are some of mine. Please feel free to post any you might think of. Let me know if you agree or disagree. I know it probably sounds corny.

The Police - 'Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic'

(OK, sorry).

For some reason the song that always makes me think of Tony and Jeannie is Omar's 'There's Nothing Like This'. Just something about the line: 'For, what we have, no others can have. There's nothing like this.' I always feel like it summarises Tony and Jeannie's relationship very well especially because Jeannie is a genie and therefore there's literally no other relationship like theirs.

In addition, when Aqualung's 'Strange & Beautiful' came out, I envisaged it being sung by Jeannie and felt that it encompassed her frustrations at being constantly overlooked by Tony as a potential wife (lyrics below).

In particular the lines: 'You'd be so perfect with me but you just can't see / You turn every head but you don't see me.' which could be about Tony continuing to date other women but never considering Jeannie as his lifelong partner.

Also: 'I'll put a spell on you / You'll fall asleep and I'll put a spell on you / And when I wake you, I'll be the first thing you see. / And you'll realise that you love me.' which could describe two episodes in particular when this (sortof) happens - in 'I'll Never Forget What's Her Name' when Tony bumps his head, forgets who Jeannie is, sees Jeannie and instantly falls in love with her. And in 'There Goes The Bride' when Jeannie does put a spell on Tony which makes him fall in love with her.

This song reminds me of their relationship in the fact that even though Jeannie drove Tony crazy he realized he couldn't live without her.

Rocket Man by Elton John is another song that makes me think of them for obvious reasons, Tony is an astronaut.

OK, this is really corny but I've always liked the 10cc song 'I'm not in love' and it occurred to me the other day that it would work quite well for Tony. The great thing about the song for anyone that's not familiar with it is that the lyrics depict a man who is protesting to an unnamed woman that he is not in love with her but his words and deeds reveal otherwise.

Oh wow, there are so many songs out there that remind of Tony and Jeannie.

Since someone mentioned a Christina Aguilera song, it made me think of her song "Ain't No Other Man". It reminds me of the way Jeannie thinks of Tony and it has an awesome beat.

Another good song is "If I Never Knew You" which was originally done by Jon Secada and Shanice, but it has been covered many times by others.

And finally, one of my favorite songs is one by Aly & AJ, which is a Disney group that is actually really good. Their song "Never Far Behind" is a powerful and wonderful song to listen to and it reminds of me of Jeannie and Tony when I listen to it.

There's an IDOJ video on youtube to "If I Never Knew You" by Shelby Lynne and Hel Ketchum. It's absolutely beautiful, and I agree, the song is perfect to display the relationship between Jeannie and Tony.

The song "Kiss Me" Really reminds me of Jeannie and Tony's relationship. One because Tony is an astronaut and two it's completely odvious that they are more than friends. (In the episode "Jeannie the Guru" Suzie, Gen. Schaeffers teenage daughter sees Jeannie in her pink arabian out fit and thinks that Jeannie is a hippie too, and uses it as blackmail to get what she wants. She says "I will tell my daddy that your DATING a hippie!" And he DOES NOT denie it!!!!)

Funny you should post that song. There is a youtube video of Tony and Jeannie with that song "Kiss Me". It is different scenes of them kissing. It is really cool. I agree, that song makes me think of them, especially now that I have watched the video.

Here's another song that I heard today that makes me think of Tony and Jeannie's relationship. This is how I believe Jeannie saw Tony through her eyes. He wasn't rich, he didn't dress to the nines, he couldn't sing, but she loved him anyway and he loved her right back.
